Che estate sarebbe senza Carly Rae Jepsen? Per la star canadese, che ha raggiunto l’apice del suo successo nel 2012 con la hit mondiale “Call me maybe”, è arrivato il tempo di lanciare “Cut to the feeling”, il nuovo singolo che arriva a due anni di distanza dal suo ultimo progetto discografico.
Il brano, in rotazione radiofonica dal 26 maggio, è composto dalla stessa cantautrice con Simon Wilcox e Nolan Lambroza ed è tratto dalla colonna sonora del film d’animazione franco-canadese “Ballerina”, intitolato “Leap!” nella sua versione nord americana, in cui la stessa Jepsen doppia il personaggio di Odette, un’ex prima ballerina dell’Opera che, a seguito di un incendio scoppiato sul palcoscenico, ha dovuto rinunciare al sogno della danza.
