Sono i Soul System i vincitori della decima edizione italiana di X Factor 10, andata in scena giovedì 15 dicembre 2016 dal Mediolanum Forum di Assago. Una stagione che ha visto trionfa il neo giudice Alvaro Soler, al suo debutto dietro il bancone del talent show targato Sky.
La serata comincia, come al solito, con il conduttore Alessandro Cattelan che presenta i giudici: Arisa, Fedez, Alvaro Soler e Manuel Agnelli. Si prosegue con i quattro finalisti in una corale performance in compagnia degli attesissimi ospiti internazionali One Republic.
Per la prima manche i concorrenti saranno impegnati con dei duetti con prestigiosi ospiti: Gaia canta con Giorgia, i Soul System con Giusy Ferreri e Baby K, Eva con Carmen Consoli e Roshelle con i Clean Bandit. Chiuso il televoto, il pubblico assegna a Roshelle il quarto posto.
E’ il turno dell’ospite italiano più atteso della serata: Luciano Ligabue, che infiamma il Forum con “G come giungla” e “Balliamo sul mondo”. La gara prosegue con gli inediti dei tre finalisti: Eva con “Voglio andare fino in fondo” scritto da Giuliano Sangiorgi, i Soul System con un brano firmato da loro “She’s like a star” e Gaia che chiude la seconda manche con“New dawns”. Terza classificata è: Eva.
Ha inizio la terza manche con il duello tra Gaia ed i Soul System, impegnati in un medley con i brani più significativi interpretati nelle precedenti puntate. Il pubblico sovrano affida la vittoria nelle mani della multietnica band, che sono riusciti a conquistare grazie al loro stile personale e alla originalità dell’inedito proposto in gara, già pluritrasmesso in radio.
She’s like a star, in rotazione radiofonica dal 9 dicembre, accompagna l’uscita dell’omonimo Ep dei i Soul System, contenente sei tracce: 1. She’s like a star; 2. Gold digger; 3. Where is the love?; 4. Holy grail; 5. Thinking out loud; 6. All that she wants.
